Finished the Rose Gown in mid-march after my closet door collapsed on me, sending my yet unfinished elven costume hurling towards the ground. I took that as a sign it was high time I finished ti up. So I did! Posted a picture of it, ain't it joyous? There are more here: [link]
Also... Yes, there's an also. I started (like seriously seriously) started and (hehe) finished my version of Elizabeth's Plum Gown! Something like a full two months out from the opening of POTC3. Kinda silly actually. Here I was TERRIFIED that 2 months wasn't enough time to get this project done, and I finished it up in a week. Wow. I guess I was just on a roll. No pics of that yet. Or portraits as it were- that's the problem is trying to think of somewhere to take them in land-locked, deciduously forested CO. It'll get figured out. But until then, that's that and I thought I'd just put all that news out there. In the meantime I'm desperately waiting for better Bellatrix Lestrange pictures to surface, because I'm making her costume to wear to OOTP. I have a rough idea of what the costume MIGHT look like, but might isn't quite good enough for me. I mean I finished my Archery Dress from Narnia 4 months out from when LWW premiered, and granted there were a lot of pictures out of that costume, but i still felt like I was kinda shooting in the dark. Bah. We'll see. I'm seriously leaving now. I need sleep like crazy!
